Assistant Finance Manager Finance
Gauteng - South Africa
Were looking for an experienced and reliable Assistant Financial Manager to support our finance team and help drive operational excellence. If you enjoy structure, problem-solving, and leading with purpose, this could be a great fit.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a small finance team (3 staff).
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for audit.
  • Oversee payables, VAT submissions, payroll, and income tax compliance.
  • Manage fixed asset schedules and bank relationships.
  • Draft financials using CaseWare.
  • Assist with revenue recognition, debt recovery, and sub-consultant accounts.
Qualifications:
  • BCom (Hons) in Accounting
Experience:
  • 5 years in a similar finance role
  • Experience with:
  • SAP Business One
  • CaseWare
  • Power BI
  • SAGE 300
  • Microsoft Excel & Word
Skills & Strengths
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and well-organized
  • Able to manage deadlines and priorities
  • Clear communicator and team player
  • Solid budgeting and problem-solving skills
