The Assistant Facilitator will maintain effective classroom management, implement the Ignite programme through facilitated sessions for participants and perform all administration requirements under the guidance of a facilitator.

Responsibilities

Programme Implementation:



Deliver on grade-specific programme outcomes with the guide of the facilitator. Create weekly lesson plans guided by programme partners and report the plan to the Ignite manager. Evaluate completed lessons by the learners on online learning platforms . Support and assist on weekend activities such as Saturday educational support classes in line with the agreed schedule. Conduct the Base-line and End-line assessments with the guide of the facilitator. Attend all lesson plan sessions and prepare the facilitation material before each class.

Administration:



Maintain and update the asset register for all Ignite resources (tablets, headsets etc.). Attend and participate in Ignite staff meetings. Attend and participate in learning and sharing workshops. Issue administration forms to parents and guide accordingly. Submit daily attendance registers to the Ignite Manager for approval to be sent to the data capturer. Monitor the attendance of learners to identify learners that ought to be deregistered as per the criteria and submit the list to the Ignite manager for further follow-up. Maintain good communication channels with Ignite parents/guardians. Maintain and promote learner's academic performance through the collection and analysis of school progress reports and provide remedial support. Submit monthly reports to the Ignite manager. Submit weekly highlights report to the Ignite manager. Escalate learner related matters to the Ignite manager timeously and following the proper procedure.

Classroom management:



Promote learning in a welcoming classroom that maintains discipline. Roll out a programme of the day and provide homework support. Exhibit zeal and confidence in order to bolster attendees' participation. Steer conversations about learning content among participants. Maintain a clean and conducive learning environment. Administer and review progress on assessments. Keep record of and account for all learning resources and assets used.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:



Matric (Grade 12). 2+ years' experience of working as a Trainer? Training Facilitator or other relevant position.

Behavioural Competencies:



Passion for community work and love for children. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, proactive and takes initiative, working well with minimal supervision.
