Job Description

The Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a qualified and competent individual to exercise control over asset management and fleet management functions within the Department.
Minimum Requirements
An appropriate B-Degree/Advanced Diploma (equivalent or higher qualification) ; A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in Asset and Fleet Management processes

Key Performance Areas
Disposal management; Management of the unit; Transversal supply chain management duties; Asset management; Fleet management; Annual Financial Statement and monthly asset reconciliations; Human resource management
Competencies
Knowledge of the following: Financial norms and standards (Public Finance Management Act - PFMA, National Treasury regulations - NTR's, Provincial Treasury Directives/Instructions - PTI's); National and Provincial instruments and legislation pertaining to human resources; Financial management processes; Procurement policies/procedures/demand/contract management; Transport management and policy and procedures governing these functions; Asset Management systems such as LOGIS and BAS; Fleet Management Processes and systems (example Fleetman).
Skills needed: Computer literacy in MS Office Package; Analytical and strategic thinking; Numeracy; Conflict resolution; Monitoring, evaluation and reporting; Presentation; Problem solving; Research; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Ability to analyse, conceptualise and implement policy.
Remuneration
R 468 459 - R 561 894 per annum (Salary level 9)
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Notes
