ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT (ASSETS, TRANSPORT & FACILITIES) - PRETORIAAn appropriate 3-year bachelor's degree/National Diploma in Logistics management/ Purchasing management/Financial management/Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification. A minimum of three (3) years' supervisory experience working in Supply Chain Management under Logistics management. Good understanding of Supply Chain Management procedures. Knowledge of Transversal contracts, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), PPPFA, Treasury Regulations and Relevant Supply Chain Management prescripts. Knowledge of the Logistical Information System (LOGIS), and Basic Accounting System (BAS). Transversal systems. Job related skills: Computer literacy skills. Communications skills (verbal and written). Interpersonal relations. Analytical skills. Teamwork. Working under pressure. Meeting deadlines.Responsibilities and DutiesAsset ManagementManagement of assetsManaging and ensuring assets are well maintained in order to sustain useful livesManagingand ensuring all assets are accounted for, thus assets are recorded on the verification lists and that these lists are signed offManagement of Information in the Asset Management section of all asset purchases (before and on delivery to ensure the assets can be bar-coded)Providing co-operation with general asset verifications by the Asset Management teamMonitor and review the capturing of all physical (moveable and immoveable) assets in the physical asset management registers.Stores and WarehouseMonitor issuing of goods (stock and non-stock items)Compare goods received with the actual order from 0-9 filesEnsure that quality and quantity control is performed during the receiving of stock.Liaise with client offices regarding the collection of delivered goods.Liaise with Asset Management and IT on the bar-coding and verification of deliveredgoods and equipment.Ensure safekeeping of stores and warehouse items.Ensure that unauthorised officials do not get access to the storeEnsure that store room is locked at all timesReport any suspicious act to management and SecurityFollow-up with Suppliers regarding outstanding deliveries.Monitor 0-9 files at times by following up with Service ProvidersUpdate LOGIS where possible in terms of the new delivery dateVerification of requisitionsMonitor the Delivery stock to end usersMonitor spot checks and stocktaking performedSpot checks should be performed on a monthly basis and stocktakingReport discrepancies and take corrective measuresSupervisory of StaffIdentify training needs of subordinates and recommends trainingCompile performance agreements with subordinatesConduct performance assessments of officials.Delegate responsibilities to subordinatesTransport managementAllocated requisition numbers according to Departmental Travel and FleetManagement Policy to OfficialsUpdate licence disks for Department vehicles e.g. Buses, Trucks, Sedan andSprintersFacilitate Official Flight, Transport and Accommodation Request (OFTAR) andDepartmental Official Transport and Accommodation Request (DOTR) throughtravel agencies.Issue the departmental vehicles with trip authority & fuel cardsRequesting licence and fuel cards of the departmental vehiclesInspect departmental vehiclesEnsure the that the departmental vehicles are servicedMaintain the process of accidents reports for departmental vehicles.FacilitiesRendering of the emergency calls regarding the maintenance within the Buildinginspections and risk assessments Registering of all complainsin the register.Liaise with the on-site contractors for City Property and Service Providers.Registering of all complaints from CLCC Office.Do follow ups with contractors and update the client.Set up data projectors and laptops for meetings and issuing pool laptops toCLCC officials for hour useCollection and distribution of newspapersCount water bottles and request water bottles on a weekly basis from the ServiceproviderCheck meter readings and forward to the service provider in order to update thenumber of copies usedReplenish photocopiers papers on a photocopier machinePerform other duties as per request from the SCM Unit.Ensure the monitoring of parking of the vehicles.Maintain the physical security functions including key control, personnel, anddocuments.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: R450,000.00 - R550,000.00 per yearApplication Question(s):Do you have your own vehicle?What are your salary expectations?Experience:office management: 3 years (Preferred)payroll with Sage or Simplepay: 2 years (Preferred)invoicing with Sage: 2 years (Preferred)
