Our client, a luxury safari lodge (Pre-opening) is seeking a dedicated Assistant Chef to support the Senior Chef at a luxury 7-key lodge in the Greater Kruger, Hoedspruit. This role is perfect for a junior chef who is passionate about culinary growth and enjoys working in a high-end bush environment.
Description
The Assistant Chef will assist with daily preparation, cooking, plating, and kitchen operations. This includes maintaining hygiene standards, supporting menu execution, and ensuring smooth service during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and cooking for daily menus
- Follow recipes and plating standards
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene practices
- Support stock rotation and storage procedures
- Assist with baking, cold prep, hot kitchen tasks
- Uphold presentation and quality standards
- Work closely with the Senior Chef and lodge team
Salary & Benefits
