Assistant Catering Manager (JB3808)
Nelspruit, Mpumalanga
R12 000 per month
Start Date: January 2024
Requirements:
At least 2 (two) years' experience working in a similar position or environment.
Passionate about food, upmarket functions and preparation of food.
Must be computer literate.
Able to compile recipes/menus and function menus.
Able to do function prep, functions, cycle menu and menu costings.
Own vehicle beneficial
Responsibilities
Able to do function prep, functions, cycle menu and menu costings.
Time management, planning and organizing skills,
Be able to have authority over a team, delegates work to the team, and lead the team.
Attention to detail - especially when it comes to plating up.
Working under pressure and handling the pressure
A positive attitude, being a team player, be neat and presentable at all times
Time manage yourself and others are of utmost importance at all times
Able to work under pressure, long hours and shift work as well as weekends.
Stock ordering, Stock level monitoring , stock counts as well as spot check of stock
Monitor preparation and cooking in the kitchen for cooks and FSA duties etc.
Be able to deal with complaints about food correctly and resolve any if they may occur.
Understanding of the special dishes and diets for clients and kids
Experience with Health and Safety in the kitchen
Have a positive outlook in life and enjoy being around students/scholars and treating them with friendliness and respect.
