The position reports to the Accounting Manager and Director. It requires a candidate with impeccable integrity, strong communication abilities, and proven leadership skills, who will uphold and enhance the professional standards of the firm.

Key Responsibilities
Performing and reviewing Independent Reviews for small and medium-sized private companies and groups.
Reviewing bookkeeping to the trial balance and monthly reconciliations.
Completing and submitting statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, DWT, and IWT).
Submitting tax returns via eFiling (IT14 and IT14SD).
Calculating and submitting provincial tax returns.
Preparing PAYE reconciliations via EasyFile and eFiling.
Preparing salary schedules and payslips.
Preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with IFRS for SMEs (Companies, Close Corporations, Trusts, and Individuals).
Measuring and implementing financial controls to minimise business risk.
Calculating tax liabilities for Companies, Close Corporations, Trusts, and Individuals.
Preparing management statements and accounts.
Performing debtors and creditors reconciliations.
Performing stock/inventory reconciliations.
Handling SARS-related queries.
Registering VAT, PAYE, and Income Tax for LDP clients.
Processing payments on behalf of clients.
Preparing fees, budgets, and quotations.
Achieving team and individual budget and performance targets.
Assisting in developing professional development and training plans for junior staff members.
Assisting in conducting bi-annual merit evaluations for Trainees.
Inherent Requirements
Strong technical knowledge and accounting skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving ability.
Effective team leadership and collaboration skills.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
A SAIPA-accredited degree.
Completed SAIPA articles.
In-depth accounting knowledge and a PA(SA) (Professional Accountant) designation, or eligibility thereto.
A valid driver's licence, as the role includes travel.
The remuneration package offered will be competitive and market-related, based on the candidate's calibre, experience, and competence.
