VACANCY: ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT
The Finance Department at Western Cape Blood Service (WCBS) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers to support financial operations and contribute to business success. WCBS is a non-profit organization whose mission is to collect, process, and distribute blood and blood products of the highest standards throughout the Western Cape.
A temporary vacancy exists for an Assistant Accountant
Finance Department (Paterson Grade C1)
Duration: 06 months
Purpose of the Job
Responsible for reconciliation of COD Creditors Accounts, cashbook and journal entries to General Ledger.
A combination of the following skills, knowledge and attributes is required:
Experience in processing cashbook and reconciliations Exposure in payment and maintenance of COD Accounts Have a friendly disposition and show keen interest in the work. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines High level of attention to detail and accuracyAs part of the recruitment and selection process, you will be required to complete a psychometric assessment.

Minimum Requirements Matric Certificate Bookkeeping/Accounting Certificate Computer literate, advanced excel skills * A minimum of 3 years experience in an accounting environment.
