Job Description
Our client based in South Africa, a specialist in Chemical, products for food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic & industrial applications.
Role : Assistant Accountant
Location: Prospecton
Start Date: Immediate
Software Proficiency: Pastel Partner and Sage
Qualifications:
- Matric
- B.Com in Financial Accounting.
- Experience in a similar working environment, an advantage
- Clear criminal record
- Capturing cash book and credit card statements on SAGE of all bank accounts and reporting balances to management every morning;
- Ensuring all sales invoicing has been vetted and checked before updating each morning;
- Debtor management i.e follow up with debtors' clerk on outstanding payments and any queries;
- Inputting stock movements on IBT and packing on Sage system
- Vat reconciliation and submit to FM for processing;
- Vetting all deliveries have been invoiced from delivery books for each warehouse;
- Bank reconciliation on Pastel partner month end;
- Petty cash capturing and reconciliation;
- Tracking of admin sick, annual leave and family responsibility leave days;
- Vetting customer month end statements to be sent out;
- Vetting supplier recons balances to system;
- Inventory Variance reporting (Mid and Month End)
- Ensuring all general ledger accounts have been reconciled including intercompany for FM to finalise month end closure.
- Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by management, taking into consideration month end duties take priority
