Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a detail-driven Assistant Accountant to join the finance team at a luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch. What you'll be doing:
/p
p
? Capturing cash book entries and handling daily cash-up reconciliations
/p
p
? Managing general ledger functions and journal entries
/p
p
? Handling debtors - invoices, account reconciliations, and collections
/p
p
? Overseeing creditors - invoices, reconciliations, and payments
/p
p
? Stock administration, including invoice capturing and monthly stocktakes
/p
p
? Petty cash management
/p
p
? Ordering of centralised goods
/p
p
? General office duties to support smooth operations
/p
p
What we're looking for:
/p
p
? Grade 12 + Qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Bookkeeping
/p
p
? 3+ years' experience in a similar role (hospitality industry experience a plus!)
/p
p
? Excellent Microsoft Office skills
/p
p
? Experience with Pastel (Sage) Evolution or similar accounting software
/p
p
?? Previous exposure to Easipos (advantageous)
/p
p
?? Strong organisational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
/p
p
? Analytical, problem-solving, and ownership-driven mindset
/p
p
? Professional, flexible, and able to collaborate across departments
/p
p
? Fluent in both English and Afrikaans
/p
p
