Job Description

The Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL) is a structured process that acknowledges and validates the skills, knowledge, and competencies individuals have acquired through formal or informal work experience. The primary goal of ARPL is to recognise existing skills and experience by validating the practical skills people have acquired through work experience, informal learning, or non-formal training.



The ARPL program will provide access to artisan trade testing by allowing competent candidates to enter an official trade test without completing the full accredited training programme and open a pathway for experienced workers to become qualified artisans.



Employed and unemployed South Africans are invited to seize the opportunity to gain skills, knowledge, and experience in the following trades:


Electrical Engineering




Electrician Instrumentation

Mechanical Engineering




Fitter and Turner Mechanical Fitter

Fabrication Engineering




Welder


REQUIREMENTS:




Employed and Unemployed South African citizens. Must be above 19 years old. Proof of highest qualification. Have a minimum of 3 years of working experience in the trade applied for. Provide a service letter on a company letterhead, with company registration number, start and end/current employment date with verifiable
contact numbers.
The service letter must provide a breakdown of tasks performed. Self-employed people must attach an affidavit with a breakdown of tasks performed. Proof of residential address

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:





You must demonstrate good interpersonal skills, professionalism and integrity, have the ability to work under pressure and meet set course deadlines.

Successful candidates must also be ambitious, diligent and willing to learn.
