Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Artisan Millwright to be placed in Karee 4 Shaft, Marikana, North West The successful candidate will report to the Foreman Engineering. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Job description

• The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
• 5 years mining industry experience(underground and surface)
• 5 years trade experince as a Millwright
• Advanced maintance and repair knowledge of hydraulics ,pneumatics ,pumps ,electrical installations,inspections.
• OEM training on mobile equipment-training certificate to be submitted with application,knowledge and experience in installation,maintenance,fault finding and calibration of batch controller and PLC weighing systems.

Knowledge of trackless mining and trackless mobile machinery ,fabrication and installations.

Minimum requirements

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

Grade 12 or equivalent academic /technical qualification.

Section 26 Millwright Trade Certificate/MIETTB Trade Certificate through a registered body.

• Valid First aid Certificate
• Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness
• Valid Code EB drive's license
• Good Communication skills in English
• Job planning skill

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• Cost containment,high mean time to failure after repairs
• competent ,motivated disciplined and positive team player
• Engineering installations are constructed,overhauled and maintained according to agreed standards,procedures and specifications.
• Compliance with SHEQ,MRC and client standard,policies ,procedures and safety protocols
• Engineering equipment is repaired according to agreed standards,procedures and schedules
• Effecive stakeholder engagement
• Effective self and team supervision in aligment with MRC values and leadership initiatives.
