Artisan Bricklayer
Job Description
Read and interpret building plans, drawings, and specifications
Measure, mark out, and prepare work areas
Mix mortar and concrete to the correct ratios
Lay bricks, blocks, and stones in various patterns (stretcher bond, English bond, Flemish bond, etc.)
Construct walls, partitions, foundations, arches, and columns
Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment using spirit levels, plumb lines, and straight edges
Cut or shape bricks and blocks using hand or power tools
Repair, maintain, and renovate existing brickwork
Install damp-proof courses (DPC) and cavity wall insulation where required
Clean and finish brickwork to the required standard
Work safely and comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requirements
Maintain tools and ensure proper housekeeping on site
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From R12000,00 per month

Johannesburg, Gauteng 2094: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Education:
Certificate (Preferred)
Experience:
Bricklayer: 5 years (Required)
License/Certification:
Trade Brick layer Certificate (Required)
