Job Description
Introduction:
Komatsu has an opportunity for a technically minded individual with a passion for heavy earthmoving equipment to assist the artisan with general functions as an Assistant Artisan with at least 1 year experience in Earthmoving Equipment to join our team at Mogalakwena.
Qualification Requirements:
Grade 12 with technical subjects, or Technical N3 Other certifications are an advantage (forklift, crane, welding) but not required.
Experience:
1-year general workshop, technical environment experience/experience working on earthing moving machines. Basic knowledge of workshop tools and machine repairs.
Knowledge Requirements
:Valid driver's license (code 8) an advantage. Have a passion for Heavy Earthmoving Machinery. SHE - basic knowledge of the Health and Safety Act. Ability to read, write, and speak English, good communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Machine/component assembly and disassembly. Component/ machine cleaning. Basic maintenance and housekeeping. Drives Komatsu service vehicle. Komatsu machine operation. Required to work overtime and standby from time to time and must be prepared to travel when needed. Assist the artisan in all aspects. Must be safety orientated as machine movement and component movements are present. Must have some knowledge on basic tools and the purpose of tools used. Ability to work under pressure. A team player, ability to work well within a team environment.
