Armed Reaction Officer
Job Description
Job Summary To ensure the safety and security of clients by providing rapid armed response to alarms, incidents, and emergencies. The Armed Reaction Officer will patrol designated areas, respond to alarm activations, and deter criminal activity through visible presence and swift intervention. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Respond promptly and effectively to alarm activations, distress signals, and emergency calls. Conduct area patrols in assigned zones and ensure visible presence to deter criminal activity. Secure scenes and assist law enforcement when required. Complete detailed incident reports and submit them timely to supervisors. Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections at the start and end of each shift. Maintain professional conduct and customer service standards at all times. Ensure the safe handling and maintenance of company-issued firearms. Maintain communication with control room and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs). MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: PSIRA Registered - Grade C or higher (Valid) Valid SAPS Police Clearance Certificate Valid Driver's Licence (minimum Code 08/B) Proof of Residential Address (not older than 3 months) Firearm Competency Certificate (Business Purposes) Valid and up-to-date REG21 Certificate Minimum 2 - 4 years of proven experience as an Armed Reaction Officer
