Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Armature Winder. That will be responsible for dismantling, rewinding, reassembling, and testing AC/DC motor armatures, stators, and coils in accordance with industry standards and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect and test armatures, stators, rotors, and coils for faults or wear Strip windings and clean motor parts using appropriate tools and methods Rewind AC/DC motors, transformers, and other rotating equipment accurately Reassemble and test equipment after rewinding Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment Maintain accurate records of work performed Operate winding and testing machines efficiently
Requirements:

Relevant trade certificate or equivalent qualification Proven experience (5 years min preferred) as an armature winder or similar role Ability to read technical drawings and winding data sheets Good understanding of motor winding techniques (lap, wave, concentric, etc.) Familiarity with insulation materials and varnishing processes Strong attention to detail and precision Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary per month: R20000

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 72 months
