Job Description

Main purpose




To manage a team of store staff in order to enable the company to meet and surpass its strategic objectives. The leadership style that is required is a balanced approach of performance and people management to ensure that staff are informed, competent and motivated. The successful candidate must reside in the PE area and will manage the Garden route and greater PE area.

Key Responsibilities




Agree set goals with team members covering performance, quality and development areas
Drive the achievement of targets
Manage and maintain focused and highly motivated team members
Focus on career and skills development of team members
Coach and develop team into a high performance culture
Ensure that continuous training sessions are held with all team members to ensure they fully understand all credit offerings and that they are competent to supply customers with the highest standards of customer service
Manage staffing needs, productivity and quality
Manage employees by ensuring continuous communication, feedback, motivation and company behaviours are being lived
Handle internal and external customer services - compliments, complaints and general feedback
Ensure that daily/monthly targets are met
Provide accurate reporting
Build collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships with the branch team and the RCS head office team
Follow up on audit reports and implement action plans to improve standards of efficiency in the department
Manage employee relations and ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures as well as resolve people-related problems e.g. conflict of interest, absenteeism and disciplinary matters
Builds and sustains long term relationships with Strategic Partners
Pro-actively drafts and effectively implements Sales and Marketing Plans in order to secure new business
Pro-actively engages in research, fact finding, cold-canvassing and prospecting in order to identify and attract potential clients

Qualifications, Skills and Experience




Matric/Grade 12 Certificate - essential
Valid drivers licence - essential
3 -5 years team management experience within the financial services / retail environment - preferred
Computer Literacy must be proficient and have solid understanding of MS Office suite - essential

Travel:




As a member of the Retail Management team, the Area Supervisor is required to travel in their own vehicle for business activities
