Job Description

We are looking for an Area Senior Graphic Designer to create engaging and on-brand graphics, artwork to attract and inspire guests and potential visitors to Mount Nelson, a Belmond Hotel. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message as per our Belmond brand standards. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team, we'd like to meet you.
Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Create engaging and on-brand graphics, artwork to attract and inspire guests and potential visitors to Mount Nelson, a Belmond Hotel.
• Responsible for creating the design to shape the visual aspects of websites, marketing and sales collateral, hotel collateral such as books, magazines, product packaging, and more.
• Responsible for the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos.

• Study design briefs and determine requirements
• Schedule projects and define budget constraints.
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas to relevant management team.
• Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand.
• Use the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic.
• Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final design.
• Test graphics across various media.
• Amend designs after feedback.
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
• Ensure projects are completed with high quality and within timelines.

Requirements
What You Bring:

• Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field - beneficial.
• A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in graphic design - preferable.
• Proven graphic designing experience essential.
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and other design software).
• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print and the web.
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
