What we're looking for:
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will play a pivotal role in leading the regional PFS operational teams. The ASM will work collaboratively with their counterpart, i.e. PFS Regional Managers & Divisional, across all PepsiCo Bus, i.e. Foods, Beverages, Snacks, Grains and Bakeries within the Modern Trade channel. The primary objective is to ensure that PepsiCo SA wins in the SA market with its customers, consumers and shoppers. The ASM will provide leadership and direction to their regional sales operations teams ensuring Every Day Great Execution (EDGE) of PepsiCo's objectives in the marketplace.
The role will work very closely with the Customer teams, Demand Acceleration teams, Marketing team and CS&L using all levers available to achieve the growth objectives and precision execution in stores across the PepsiCo portfolio.
Accountable for volume, revenue and profit delivery within the Sales Function across Snacks, Food & Beverage, Grains and Bakeries
3rd Party Agency Management (PFS)
Set and agree objectives (MWB), investment levels and priorities for the INLAND CENTRAL region by business unit (BU)
Monitor, analyze and report on performance - integrate key learnings into regional plans by BU
Direct Regional PFS in the achievement of objectives
Deliver Productivity in line with agreed business objectives (Including Waste Reduction)
Liaise with INLAND regional SPL team
Liaise with NAMS and RKAMs
Establish and maintain a POP monitoring / control system
Direct and execute relevant go-to-market strategies by modern trade (MT) channel
Conduct weekly operational meetings to ensure continual improvement within the team
Mentor, coach and identify learning opportunities to ensure the continuous development of people and self
Supervise and performance manage teams to deliver the maximum impact within customer base through effective execution
Drive the PO1 Strategy to ensure optimal execution across all Channels and Categories
People scheduling and planning - leave, expense, training needs analysis & budget management etc
Identify & implement opportunities to drive PFS Effectiveness
Qualifications:

3 year degree/ equivalent
Commercial Related qualification
7-10 years' experience FMCG industry
7-10 years managerial experience
Excellent negotiation skills
