Area Sales Manager [m|f|d] South Africa



Soloplan is a world-renowned software company and the market leader in transport management systems for the freight and logistics industry. With innovation at our core and an international footprint, we're expanding our dynamic sales team in Midrand, Johannesburg - and we're looking for a high-performing Area Sales Manager to drive growth across South Africa and beyond.



Your mission

As a key member of our international sales force, you'll be the face of our cutting-edge logistics solutions. You'll identify and win new business, build lasting relationships, and help our clients transform their operations with our powerful software.



Your tasks



Proactively acquire new customers through your network and industry outreach

(transporters, freight forwarders, fleet operators, etc.)

Deliver compelling product presentations both online and in person Develop tailored proposals and negotiate contracts to close Manage and grow existing client accounts through retention, upselling, and cross-selling Collaborate closely with local and international teams, reporting to branch leadership

Your profile



Completed logistics, business or software degree with relevant professional experience Strong IT affinity and a knack for systems thinking and process optimisation Knowledge of the logistics sector with specific focus on road freight is essential Minimum 3 years sales experience is essential - ideally in the area of software products and/or logistics Valid passport and Code 8 driver's license Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially at C-level Dedication to the job and excellent sales techniques Willingness to travel; you will require a valid passport Fluent English; additional South African languages are a plus
