Job Description
Our client is seeking an Area Manager to join their team, based in Ugie.
Duties to include (amongst others):-
- Budgeting and Budget Control
- Good team player with good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Extensive firefighting experience
- Proficiency in Micro Forest PMI and BSi, Excel, Word, GIS, PowerPoint & Outlook
- Technical knowledge of the environment
- Minimum Diploma in Forestry; B-Tech Degree advantageous
- At least 10 years` experience as a Forester of which at least 2 of these must be at Senior Forester level
- Ability to manage teams to required productivity efficiencies
- Excellent people management skills
- Advanced fire management experience, Silviculture team management experience
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Good Time Management skills
- Ability to plan, identify problems and come up with solutions
- Have well-developed decision-making skills
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships
- Ability to work under pressure with no supervision
- Ability to motivate and train / coach / mentor subordinates
