Architectural Technologist (Glass and Aluminium Architectural Products)

Key Responsibilities

Interfacing on site with the site professional team as well as our Project Managers ensuring the design/site needs are packaged for further internal design From time to time assist the design department with technical drawings, sketches or procurement Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections as needed Stay updated on building codes, materials, and best practices Assist in resolving design and construction challenges Ensure that the contract timelines are adhered to Play a role in assisting with contract management duties

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential:

Must have qualification in architecture or architectural technologies Proficiency in industry-standard software e.g. AutoCad Strong understanding of building codes, plans, materials, and construction techniques Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and a passion for innovative design Knowledge of local planning and building regulations Knowledge of JBCC contracts

Prerequisites

Bilingual (English & Afrikaans).
