We require an Architectural Technologist to provide technical expertise across the design, planning, and construction phases. This role involves collaboration with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure efficient and compliant project execution.

• Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in architectural technology or a related field

• Experience:

25 years in the industry

• Skills:

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Lumion

• Professional Registration:

SACAP registration required
Job Summary:
As an Architectural Technologist, they will work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to bring design concepts to life. Their role will involve developing detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and construction documentation, ensuring the efficient and precise execution of projects. They will be expected to apply relevant knowledge of building codes, regulations, materials, and construction methods to deliver high-quality design solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design Development: Assist in translating architectural concepts into detailed technical drawings, specifications, and 3D models.
• Technical Drawings: Produce detailed and accurate plans, elevations, sections, and construction details using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Building Codes & Regulations: Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements.
• Construction Documentation: Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including technical specifications and material schedules.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure the technical integrity of designs and to resolve construction issues.
• Project Coordination: Assist in coordinating the technical aspects of projects, ensuring timelines are met and budgets are adhered to.
• Site Visits: Conduct site visits to assess project progress and ensure compliance with design and quality standards.
• Sustainability: Incorporate sustainable design practices into projects to ensure energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
• Quality Control: Conduct quality checks to ensure drawings and documentation are accurate and free of errors.
• Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns related to technical aspects of projects.
