Position Overview

Tortellino D'Oro is seeking a

skilled and reliable Baker

to join our professional kitchen team. The successful candidate will have proven experience in baking, a strong understanding of baking processes, and a commitment to producing high-quality products consistently. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who takes pride in precision, cleanliness, and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, bake, and present a variety of baked goods according to company recipes and standards Accurately measure ingredients and follow established baking procedures Operate bakery equipment safely and responsibly Maintain consistent quality, texture, and presentation of all baked products Ensure proper storage, labelling, and stock rotation of ingredients and finished products Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and production schedules Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised work environment at all times Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and health regulations Work efficiently as part of a team while meeting daily production targets

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of

2 years' proven baking experience

in a professional kitchen or bakery Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment Ability to work early shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required Excellent time management and organisational skills High attention to detail and consistency Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

Experience with artisan or European-style baking Understanding of quality control and production planning Passion for food and continuous improvement
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: R6000,00 - R7000,00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

Sandton, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
License/Certification:

Drivers License (Preferred)
