Job Description

Essential Skills Requirements:

• This role is for a tester with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and executing test plans for software applications developed in C#.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of C# and the .NET framework,
• Experience with web development, and experience with manual testing, automated testing, and test-driven development.
• Additionally, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and execute test plans for the company's software applications developed in C#.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure that the software meets the needs of the business and is of high quality.
• Identify and report software defects and verify that they are fixed.
• Write and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test plans.
• Stay current with new developments in C# and related technologies and make recommendations for improvements.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Communicate with stakeholders to gather and interpret requirements.
• Write technical documentation.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure that all code adheres to company standards.
• Create and maintain test environments.

Background:

• Matric
• Bachelors degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on C#
• Strong understanding of C# and the .NET framework
• Experience with web development using technologies such as ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, and JavaScript
• Experience with manual testing, automated testing, and test-driven development
• Experience with test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Agile and Scrum software development methodologies is a plus.
