Join a forward-thinking team leading the way in mining safety technology with a focus on Collision Avoidance Systems (CAS).m As an Electronic Application Engineer, you'll leverage your technical expertise to support the sales process by translating customer requirements into customized, high-performance solutions. Partner with regional sales teams, product managers, and engineering specialists to accelerate the adoption of advanced CAS technologies across industrial and mining sectors.
Education:

• National Diploma or N6 in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Proven experience working with Proximity Detection Systems (PDS) or Collision Avoidance Systems (CAS) in the mining sector.
• Strong understanding of RF communication, CAN bus, and IoT-based data transmission.
• Experience in fault finding, wiring, calibration, and maintenance of electronic control systems.
• Knowledge of microcontrollers, sensors, and power systems (UPS, solar, and inverters).
• Familiarity with LTE, Wi-Fi, and server-based telemetry data transmission.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, perform on-site installations, and support field commissioning.
• Exposure to firmware updates, device configuration, and data integration will be advantageous.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and reliable system performance in high-demand mining environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain electronic systems for vehicle-based proximity detection and safety solutions.
• Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting on RF communication and sensor-based systems.
• Assist with integrating telemetry data with server platforms for reporting and analysis.
• Support continuous improvements and field testing of hardware/software interfaces.
• Work closely with Engineers and field teams to ensure optimal system uptime and compliance with mine standards.
