Increase and support sales of products and services by providing technical assistance
Design and improve equipment to extend service life
Deliver products, service or bundled solutions that were sold
Perform cost estimates and calculations on solutions offered as part of the quotation process
Accountable for delivery results and performance
Actively determine and pursue profitable business opportunities for products and services by analysing customer and market needs
Increase sales of products and services by providing technical assistance to key customers and establishing and maintaining good relationships with Engineering and other technical personnel at customers
Support sales by providing technical assistance with regards to the selection, application and proper use of full range of products
Re-design equipment where the customer has experienced problems with the existing products-based arrangement or where new technology can be incorporated to improve product efficiency and
lead to cost reductions * Design or develop new solutions for customers
Deliver products, services or bundled solutions sold to customers by providing effective Engineering, Project management or other professional services
Perform bearing failure analysis and provide customer with detailed report and recommendations
Manage, measure and interact with suppliers of engineered solutions
Generate General Assembly (GA), layout and conceptual drawings for quotation purposes which could be developed into final solutions by inhouse draughting
Keep up to date with the latest product knowledge and
developments * Perform training on products and services for inhouse, distributor, branch and customer personnel
Continuously develop and improve capabilities for integrated services delivery
Plan effective and optimised resource utilisation and allocation against service delivery and project requirements. Including cost control programs on engineered products and project deliveries
Adhere to all applicable company policies and procedures
Encourage and implement process improvements
Ensure effective teamwork and working in a seamless manner with all service delivery, customer services and sales functions
Drive sustainability targets and functions
What you'll need
Formal Engineering qualification- BSc Eng, BEng, BTech or NHD Eng in Mechanical Engineering
Project Management qualification will be an advantage
Professional associations/memberships will be an advantage
Minimum 2-3 years technical support at customer facing level
Minimum 2-3 years Product Engineering, in either Application, Project or Design Engineering
Knowledge of Engineering Draughting and management systems
Analytical approach to problem solving
Excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills
Working knowledge of bearings, seals, tribology, CoMo, lubrication systems etc.
Willingness to travel

A Few Things to Know
High levels of concentration required
Frequent domestic and some cross-border travel will be required to visit and engage with network
Will spend time travelling, mostly driving, sometimes flying to remote customers
Will be required to work outside normal working hours if needed
