Animal Carer Intern
Job Description
Ashia's Cheetah Center, situated in Paarl near Cape Town, the hub for the projects conservation work, is looking for the right person to join our team on a 4-month fixed internship basis.
The intern will work closely with the Animal and Maintenance teams. You will be required to complete a 4 month internship workbook that focuses not only on soft skills in the work place, but also will provide you with the basic understanding of animal husbandry, behaviour and care.
Requirements:
Tertiary diploma in animal/conservation relevant field
Keen interest and passion for animal care
Experience with data analysis and good computer skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Team player and hard worker
Willing to learn new skills and do hard physical work
Innovative and solution-driven
Driver's license and experienced, confident driver
Responsibilities:
Animal care
Leading and managing volunteers
Maintenance and landscaping
Providing tours to the general public
Computer/data work
