African Parks is a South African non-profit conservation organization that takes on the complete responsibility for the rehabilitation and long-term management of national parks in partnership with governments and local communities. Founded in 2000, AP manages 23 national parks and protected areas in 13 countries, covering 20 million hectares.
The primary purpose of the role will be to provide Law Enforcement training, mentoring, and empowering capability to park-based Field Operations Managers, Heads of Law Enforcement, Park Instructors, and their Law Enforcement teams through the delivery of basic, refresher leadership/mentoring, and specialist training according to African Parks Standard Operating Procedures and Law Enforcement training packages. Advising Regional Operations Managers and Park Managers is a key activity.
The role will also assist the African Parks Head of Law Enforcement in the continuous capability development and implementation of all Law Enforcement Standard Operating Procedures and training manuals.
Together with the African Parks Head of Law Enforcement, ensure LE program quality and compliance by conducting audits and/or by other means, including supervision of consultants and equipment reviews.
