Job Description

Fine Chemicals requires the services of a highly competent ADD Teamleader for the Analytical Development Department. To qualify for this position the most suitable candidate must fulfill the following requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Educational requirement is Matric/Grade 12
• A formal tertiary qualification in Chemistry - National Diploma or BTech or B.Sc. Degree or an Equivalent Qualification as per the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) - SAQA would be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in a Pharmaceutical Laboratory.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and quality control requirements pertaining to the manufacture of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIxe2x80x99s).
• Must have experience in or knowledge of the API Testing Environment.
• Must be computer literate.
• Good knowledge of Analytical Chemistry.
• Understanding of and participation in a product stability and reference standard management program will be advantageous.

• Maintenance of GLP in the Laboratory
• Maintenance of the Stability Program
• Maintenance of the Reference Standard Program
• Participation in departmental improvement and transfer projects.
• Resource allocation to ensure that customer support is provided.

• Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication (written and verbal) with report writing and document reviewing skills
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment and critically evaluate data.
• Willing to work after hours and overtime when required.
