Job Description
- Perform qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis on various samples, including record keeping
- Analytical support to customer and service staff in an accurate and usable manner
- Maintain and/or arrange for maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and instrumentation, Preventative maintenance of dosing equipment.
- Familiarize oneself with the laboratory safety requirements and operate the laboratory in accordance with this practice and proper Housekeeping principles
- Responsible for chemical dosing and optimization of all treatment programs
- Trouble shooting systems such as cooling towers, boilers, filters and ion exchange systems.
- Customer interaction and feedback
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12
- National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry / Chemical Engineering
- Experience in the following:-
- Boiler / Cooling Eflluent Water Treatment
- Sampling, Testing & Reporting
- General & Specific Laboratory Work
- Computer Skills (Microsoft office xe2x80x93 Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Own Transport will be advantageous, will be reimbursed for travel
