Job Description
Our client in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal, is looking for an experienced Aluminum Welder / Assembler to join their growing manufacturing and engineering team. The role involves high-precision aluminum welding, accurate assembly of components, and working with technical drawings to deliver quality products that meet strict safety and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality aluminum welding to project specifications
- Assemble aluminum components, frames, structures, etc., with precision
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide welding and assembly work
- Inspect finished welded assemblies to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
- Coordinate with workshop team to meet production schedules
- Maintain cleanliness, safety and orderliness in the workshop environment
- At least 5 years of experience as an aluminum welder and assembler
- Strong hands-on assembly skills, especially with aluminum
- Ability to read technical drawings / blueprints / engineering schematics accurately
- Solid welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG) specific to aluminum fabrication
- Attention to detail; able to produce neat, strong welds and correctly aligned assemblies
- Good time management, reliability, and ability to work independently and in a team
- Prior experience in a workshop setting in or near Pinetown
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in welding and fabrication
- Comfortable with a variety of assembly tasks and custom/one-off work
