Job Description

Our client in the Hospitality industry is currently looking for an AC Technician in Sea Point, Cape Town. Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections, maintenance, repairs, and installations of air conditioning systems, encompassing building control, pneumatic systems, cooling systems, refrigerators, ice machines, refrigerated water coolers, and similar apparatus.
• Conduct maintenance assessments on heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems.
• Execute repair and routine maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment.
• Perform overhauls and servicing of refrigeration units, addressing issues in compressors, condensers, and vacuum pumps through repair, replacement, or reworking of damaged components.
• Initiate equipment parts replacement orders as needed, execute repairs per specifications, and maintain a comprehensive record of equipment servicing.
• Ensure both minor and major servicing of HVAC systems for efficient preventive maintenance.
• Adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations relevant to the job.
• Collaborate with repair and maintenance teams, undertaking additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Educational background and training in HVAC systems.
• A professional history of 2 - 3 years in the field.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the techniques, procedures, testing instruments, tools, and materials commonly utilized in the repair and maintenance of diverse refrigeration and air conditioning systems, as well as similar equipment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in promptly and accurately diagnosing, locating, and rectifying defects in refrigeration and air conditioning systems/units and comparable equipment.
• Possession of a valid code 08 driverxe2x80x99s licence.
• Proven experience in both minor and major servicing of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment.
• Expertise in Air-Conditioning, Cold and Freezer Room installations.

Remuneration:

• Up to R18 000 per month.
