Job Purpose

To carry out Repairs and Maintenance activities within an area or specific discipline to the required Standards and in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Qualifications

------------------


Matric/Grade 12. Trade test certificate (Red Seal) is essential.

Minimum Requirements

------------------------


Air-conditioning Technician experience in the Casino / Hotel industry will be an added advantage, or 10 years similar experience in a large plant required. Must have 5 years' experience in industrial chillers. Must have electrical fault finding background and good problem solving skills. Must have the ability to explain technical matters in clear terms, read technical drawings, cabling plans and circuit diagram. Knowledge of health and safety issues required. Shift work is an operational requirement.

Main Resposibilites

To carry out planned preventative maintenance. To attend to all breakdowns as per the Supervisor's instructions. To carry out new airconditioning installation work. To inspect and test systems ensuring that they are up to operation standards. * To carry out regular maintenance checks.
