Job Description

Orion Real Estate seeks to employ 2 (two) Air Conditioner Technicians. The Air Conditioner Technicians are responsible for conducting maintenance, repairs, and installations on various types of air conditioning systems. These technicians should possess excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills in order to identify and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning systems, including cleaning condenser coils, replacing filters, and lubricating moving parts.
• Conduct inspections to assess the condition and performance of air conditioning units.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with air conditioning systems, such as refrigerant leaks, electrical malfunctions, or mechanical failures.
• Repair or replace faulty components and parts, such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and fans.
• Install, assemble, and test new air conditioning systems according to specifications and guidelines.
• Conduct performance and efficiency tests on air conditioning systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining repair options, and suggesting preventative maintenance measures.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, inventory, and equipment maintenance logs.
• Stay updated with industry advancements and product knowledge to effectively carry out repairs and installations.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete complex projects or handle an increased workload during peak seasons.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while working on air conditioning systems to ensure a secure and accident-free environment.

Qualifications and Experience required:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant certification or diploma in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) or a related field.
• Experience and qualifications in electrical will be an added advantage.
• Proven experience working as an Air Conditioner Technician, preferably in a residential or commercial setting.
• A driver's license and own reliable transport will also be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of air conditioning systems and their components, including electrical and mechanical aspects.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues accurately.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems and familiarity with refrigerants.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and ability to perform electrical repairs or installations.
• Ability to use various tools and equipment required for air conditioning repairs and installations.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
