AI/ML Engineer



The AI/ML Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership in the design, development, and deployment of personalised AI solutions at HISP-SA. This includes leveraging Generative AI, agentic AI, machine learning, and deep learning models for identified use cases in collaboration with domain experts.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead the development, implementation and adoption of AI solutions to address key organizational and client challenges. Drive the design and deployment of large-scale AI and predictive analytics solutions leveraging technologies such as Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Machine Learning. Design, develop, and optimize machine learning and deep learning models for use cases such as prediction, classification, and personalization Develop and maintain scalable AI/ML pipelines for data ingestion, training, validation, deployment, and monitoring Advocate for ML Ops best practices within the organization, promoting principles such as reproducibility, version control, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) for ML workflow Work with data engineers to ensure data pipelines deliver clean, compliant, and high-quality data for AI use. Prototype and experiment with emerging AI/ML models and architectures to advance HISP's AI capabilities, particularly in healthcare applications. Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, and domain experts to translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions. Conduct thorough testing, validation, and model performance evaluations, ensuring that AI systems are reliable, fair, and free from biases. Implement techniques to identify and mitigate any unintended biases or ethical concerns in AI models, particularly in sensitive healthcare data. Clearly communicate AI outcomes and model insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, focusing on impact and decision support.

Job Requirements:



Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or other related fields Advance degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or Machine Learning 5 years' experience working in IT, Engineering or other relevant industry At least 3 years' experience working with AI and Machine learning technologies Experience with AI and Machine Learning Frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, etc.) Strong Python programming skills Experience developing and working with software engineering best practices such as Agile, CI/CD, git, etc. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases Experience working with use cases with Health Care datasets
