AI Specialist / 3D Visualization + Rendering Artist (Fully Remote)
Our client is an award-winning hospitality design firm creating immersive environments across hotels, resorts, nightlife, restaurants, and branded lifestyle concepts. As part of their continued innovation, they are expanding AI-enabled visualization capabilities to accelerate early design exploration, strengthen creative direction, and enhance client storytelling.
They are seeking an AI-forward Visualization and Design Specialist whose primary responsibility is to explore and implement generative AI to develop concept imagery, mood studies, and material ideation. This role is deeply embedded in the front end of the design process, supporting designers by rapidly visualizing ideas, testing directions, and expanding creative possibilities through AI.
This is not a traditional rendering role. The emphasis is on concept development, ideation, and visual exploration, grounded in real interior architecture and design judgment.
Key Responsibilities
AI & Concept Visualization (Primary Focus)
Leverage AI-assisted tools to develop concept imagery, mood studies, and material ideation, supporting early design exploration and creative direction.
Explore, test, and implement generative AI workflows to rapidly visualize narratives, spatial concepts, and experiential ideas.
Use AI tools for visualization, rendering, and image enhancement across project phases.
Enhance imagery through AI-driven post-processing and automation, including support for animations.
Stay current on emerging AI visualization technologies and proactively recommend improvements to visualization and concept development workflows.
3D Modeling & Rendering
Produce high-quality interior and architectural renderings aligned with design intent in close collaboration with project designers.
Build, manage, and optimize 3D models, scenes, materials, and lighting to support AI outputs and final visuals.
Create still images, diagrams, and presentation-ready visuals for design reviews and client presentations.
Support multiple project phases, from concept and schematic design through design development and marketing-level visuals.
Collaboration & Design Support
Work closely with designers, architects, and project teams to translate ideas, narratives, and sketches into compelling visuals.
Interpret drawings, plans, and design narratives into accurate, visually cohesive imagery.
Receive and implement feedback efficiently while maintaining consistency across deliverables and projects.
Contribute to the ongoing development of internal visualization standards, templates, and best practices.
Qualifications
Higher education and professional experience in interior design, interior architecture, or architectural visualization.
Proven experience using generative AI for concept development and visual ideation.
Strong understanding of design narratives, materiality, lighting, and spatial composition.
Ability to self-direct, manage deadlines, and evolve workflows independently.
Portfolio demonstrating AI-driven concept imagery, mood studies, or material exploration.
Experience pairing AI visuals with motion, sequencing, or storytelling.
Familiarity with 3D or rendering tools to support AI outputs.
Comfort collaborating and directing distributed teams.
Portfolio Submission Requirements (Required)
Portfolios must clearly demonstrate generative AI-driven concept work. Submissions without AI concept examples will not be considered. Please include:
3-5 AI-generated concept examples
Mood studies, conceptual environments, or material ideation
Early-phase design exploration preferred over final renderings
Brief context for each example:
Design narrative or concept goal
How generative AI was used to explore and refine ideas
How outputs were assessed for realism and feasibility
At least one example showing refinement from raw AI output to a more resolved, design-aligned concept
Optional but encouraged: Motion, sequencing, or before/after comparisons
Additional Considerations
AI workflows may be compute-intensive; candidates should be equipped with appropriate systems.
This role requires continuous independent learning as generative AI tools evolve rapidly.
