Role Description

The AI Engineer will lead the implementation of AI solutions across global operations by identifying, analysing, and implementing high-impact use cases. You will build practical AI solutions for real business problems across hospitality, retail, agriculture, ecommerce, ops & support. You'll work with full-code (e.g. MCP servers, OpenAI SDKs), low-code (n8n) and no-code tools (Zapier), bridging business workflows with AI to deliver real ROI. Ideal for someone who loves experimenting with new AI tools and applying them across multiple industries. This role bridges business processes with AI tools by helping teams reimagine workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and measure tangible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with teams to identify problems, repetitive or data-driven tasks suitable for AI and automations Build AI solutions including Agents and Assistants e.g. using n8n, Zapier, MCP Server, etc. Partner with Engineering and Data teams to integrate AI tools into workflows. Assist in upskilling staff regarding AI. Tracking and reporting of key KPIs.

Skills & Competencies

Strong problem-solving and workflow design skills. Practical experience with automation and AI building tools. Analytical thinker with the ability to translate business problems into technical solutions. Excellent communicator with strong follow-through skills. Comfortable working across diverse teams in operations, hospitality, retail, agriculture and digital. Passionate about AI's potential to optimise real-world processes.

Experience & Qualifications

4+ years experience in software development, data science, engineering or related field. Expertise in AI tools, automation, and data-driven projects. Experience in hospitality, retail, or operations environments is advantageous. Excellent understanding of data & analytics. Solid understanding of core AI concepts and safe, responsible use. Fluency in English and Afrikaans. * Willingness to Travel.
