RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Agronomist to join our client's team in Alberton. Responsibilities

• Conduct soil sampling and analysis to determine nutrient levels and recommend appropriate treatments
• Develop and implement crop production plans tailored to specific environmental conditions
• Monitor crop performance and advise on pest, disease, and weed control strategies
• Collaborate with farmers and other stakeholders to ensure best agricultural practices
• Provide technical support on seed selection, irrigation, fertilization, and harvesting methods
• Stay up to date with new developments in agronomy and agricultural science
• Maintain accurate records of all observations, recommendations, and implemented strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or a related field
• Proven experience as an Agronomist or in a similar agricultural advisory role
• Strong knowledge of soil health, crop production, and pest management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret research and technical information for practical application
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and teams
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to field sites as required
