Agricultural Gis Specialist
Job Description
Our client in a fertilizer manufacturing industry is looking for an Agricultural GIS Specialist with knowledge of processing precision farming data and compilation of precision farming maps (including soil chemical maps, soil classification maps, crop yield maps, and variable rate application maps), analyses of spatial database information, remote sensing data management. The incumbent will work with the agronomic field team and provide support and training. Develop and maintain Esri Dashboards, Translating raw data into agricultural solutions and marketing.
Experience and Qualification
- Minimum 3 years precision farming data experience
- B.SC Honours in Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
- Experience using ESRI ArcGIS software products
- Experience with scripting in Python
- Project management skills
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Knowledge of Ag Leader SMS software
- Develop and maintain GIS databases
