Job Description

Unitrans is looking for a dynamic and driven Agricultural Engineer to help transform agricultural operations into sustainable, efficient, and high-yield undertakings. The focus is on improving land use, resource management and crop production, requiring significant amount of time spend on site. The role offers an exciting opportunity for an Agricultural Engineer with specialties in plant and soil science. The individual will play a crucial role in enhancing crop production and soil health whilst supporting environmentally responsible practices and long-term agricultural success.
The agricultural engineer will work closely with site teams to develop and implement solutions to enhance agricultural efficiency, sustainability, and safety by analysing operations and data, and considering new technologies. They will also research and implement improved farming techniques, develop systems to automate and increase overall productivity. The incumbent will be someone who has a high work ethic, a scientific mind and enjoy problem-solving, with a keen interest in agronomy and horticulture
