Job Summary Africa Travel Specialist - Luxury Property Group | Johannesburg Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Africa Travel Specialist to join a luxury property group based in Johannesburg. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and knowledgeable professional with extensive experience in designing and selling bespoke itineraries across Southern and East Africa. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong sales ability, exceptional guest service skills, and a deep understanding of the luxury travel market. Requirements: Minimum 8 years' experience in a similar role with proven sales performance, ideally with a tour operator Strong background in Southern and East Africa travel Grade 12 certificate (essential); Degree or Diploma in Tourism or Hospitality advantageous Proficiency in MS Office, Res Request, Tourplan, Safari Portal, and CRM systems Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) Commercially minded, with negotiation, closing skills, and ability to meet sales targets Proactive, adaptable, and guest-focused with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities Team player with resilience, enthusiasm, and emotional control Key Responsibilities: Travel Coordination & Planning Design and sell tailor-made itineraries, including flights, transfers, and accommodation Engage proactively with prospective guests to convert enquiries into confirmed bookings Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all properties and third-party preferred partners Sales & Revenue Generation Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets Track and report on sales performance, conversion rates, and revenue metrics Identify new business opportunities and contribute to sales strategies Build and maintain strong relationships with high-value clients Booking Management & Administration Manage bookings accurately through relevant systems Confirm reservations promptly and maintain comprehensive records Financial Management Ensure timely collection of payments Submit monthly reconciliations and financial reports Guest Services Excellence Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally Deliver proposals and responses that meet or exceed concierge service standards Follow up with guests post-travel to ensure satisfaction Professional Development Attend educational trips and trade events as required Contribute to departmental profitability through excellent service delivery Package: Salary: Negotiable depending on experience To apply: Please send your updated CV, reference letters, qualifications, and a recent head & shoulders photo today Please note: Only candidates who meet the listed requirements will be contacted.
