Summary
The Advisory Manager will acquire new IFAs for the Company/Sanlam MO, and responsible for the effective placing of financial advisors in line with the strategic vision of the company.
Description
Responsible for the implementation of strategic plans to achieve business objectives, drive profit, improve and optimize Advisory Services;
Create, maintain, implement and review financial policies and structures that encourage cost and operational effectiveness while embedding the principles of good governance;
Keep abreast of the current market and industry issues, regulations, policies and maintain relationships with the regulators and industry stakeholders;
Maximize business development opportunities through leveraging of networks;
Maintaining the mission, vision and values of the company;
Manage a team of Financial Advisors as well as the Administration team leader;
Continuous drive to interview, recruit and vest new financial planners;
Ensure that the department comply with all legal requirements;
Responsible to market the area and grow market share;
Ensure a high-performance culture is set and maintained;
Ensure effective systems and processes is in place to ensure optimal client services;
Responsible for management of back office efficiency;
Drive profitable growth through planning, execution and management;
Regular feedback and coaching - one-on-one and in the team;
Effectively lead team to grow the business and ensure targets are met on a monthly basis;
Reporting and monitoring of goals and compliance;
Ability to build and maintain relationships within the Group; and
Supervision of new financial planners.
Minimum Requirements
Fluent in Afrikaans and English;
3 - 5 Years' experience in a management position;
Computer literacy and knowledge of the MS Office package;
BCom degree will be advantageous;
3 to 5 years' financial service industry experience with majority in risk and savings;
Knowledge of the Sanlam product range will be advantageous;
Strong business acumen, with experience in setting up a new venture will be advantageous;
Business process experience - new business, underwriting, claims;
Financial planning and advice process knowledge - tax, structuring, estate planning; and
Knowledge of financial services industry.
