Purpose of the Job
The purpose of the Advertising Coordinator role is to manage and coordinate all print advertising material related to national and divisional Medirite promotions across Shoprite, Checkers, and Checkers Hyper. The role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution of promotional and daily print advertising content, aligning with internal deadlines and media schedules. This includes overseeing system inputs, verifying promotional details, and managing timelines to ensure seamless delivery of advertising materials to market.

Qualifications

Essential:

Grade 12 qualification

Desirable:

Marketing diploma or similar qualification




Experience

Essential:

2+ years of printing and advertising experience

Desirable:

2+ years of marketing (e.g., retail marketing, shopping center promotions, etc.) and campaign coordination experience (e.g. advertising) 2+ years of Experience in FMCG or Retail


Knowledge and Skills

Essential:

Strong knowledge of Marketing and advertising principles and practices Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite Solid organizational skills and detail oriented Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate clearly with various departments including graphic design, public relations and advertising, as well as vendors, contractors and freelancers Strong knowledge of SAP buying systems and Retail Management system

Desirable:

Project management skills
