The Advertising Assistant works closely with the Advertising Coordinator, Buyers, and Marketing team to support the execution of all external supplier and internal business initiatives related to promotional campaigns. The role involves assisting with campaign coordination, communication, and administration tasks to ensure that all promotional activities are successfully implemented. Job Objectives
Assist the Advertising Coordinator with the coordination and execution of all promotional campaigns, ensuring tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Brief advertising agencies and media teams on promotional activities, providing them with all necessary information for successful execution.
Copy-check and approve all advertising materials, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Facilitate effective communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding promotions, addressing any queries or concerns in a timely manner.
Open job numbers within the RMS (Resource Management System) and SAP for promotional tasks, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
Source and activate all promotions within SAP, ensuring that all relevant systems reflect the latest promotional activities.
Extract and compile relevant promotional reports, providing insights into campaign performance and effectiveness.
Brief promotional lines within RMS to the agency, ensuring clarity and alignment on project expectations.
Perform administrative tasks related to advertising initiatives, including scheduling meetings, maintaining project timelines, and organizing documentation.
Conduct basic market research to gather insights and support the development of promotional strategies.
Assist in the planning and execution of promotional events, including product launches and in-store promotions.
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the advertising workflow and suggest enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications
Matric or Grade 12 certification - (essential).

Experience
+1 years of experience in marketing or advertising, preferably in FMCG or retail marketing - (essential).

Knowledge and Skills
Proficiency in MS Office 365 - (essential).
Knowledge of SAP - (advantageous).
Familiarity with ATL (Above-the-Line) and BTL (Below-the-Line) marketing strategies - (essential).
Understanding of print and electronic media processes - (essential).
