Job Description

The Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board- an Equal Opportunity Employer - is a statutory body established with its main purpose the regulating and monitoring of the gambling and horse racing industry in the Western Cape. The Board invites applications for the following six-month fixed-term contract position:




The minimum requirements are:






A Grade 12 or senior certificate with eight (8) years' experience in office administration. Proven computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook), knowledge of data entry systems.




In addition, this position requires organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, time management, accuracy, data-capturing skills, and the ability to carry out elementary research.




The duties attached to this position include, but are not limited to:





General administration functions, which include typing correspondence and email responses. Managing registers and compiling and submitting statutory reports. Following up on outstanding matters as requested, generating a weekly report of outstanding matters, and preparing meeting documents. Managing the communication register to ensure timely attention to all incoming communication of the Department.
