Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:




As a Technical Process Safety Administrator (MOCA), play a critical role in Process Safety initiatives, with a primary focus on assistance towards technical PS inputs. The responsibilities include managing documentation related to SHREQ & Process Safety protocols.



QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



Minimum Requirements:




Qualifications:

Diploma Health and Safety / Environmental Management / Environmental Health / Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Computer literate with knowledge in Microsoft Windows Packages ISO 45001 certificate will be advantageous.


Experience:

Minimum 2 years' experience in Process Safety management General administrative requirements. Minimum 5 years' experience in Chemicals working environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SHREQ management software.

Ideal Requirements




Qualifications: (Same as minimum plus the following)

Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Management/ Chemical or Mechanical Engineering ISO 45001 certificate will be advantageous.


Ideal:

Completion of the following training. HIRA (Risk Analysis) Environmental Awareness. Knowledge of Acts and Legislation

HEADLINE KEY RESULT AREAS:



Participate in the development, review, and update of process safety (PS) policies and procedures in accordance with South African regulations and industry best practices (CCPS, OHSHAS). Ensure effective implementation and adherence to these policies throughout the facility. Filing of all PS technical documentation and SHREQ templates. Preparation of PS Appointment letters. Keep competency training and certification up to date with the latest certificates and permits. Participate in conducting regular risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards in the workplace. Keep records of PS Risk Assessment and other related documentation (HAZOP, MHI, What if,). Assist in coordination and deliver process safety training programs for employees, contractors, and other relevant parties. Coordinate the Incident Investigation and Reporting Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant South African safety regulations, standards, and codes of practice. Keep abreast of changes in legislation and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance. Ensure compliance on PSM Online and timeous uploading of documents. Coordinate the MOC and PSSR requirements.
