Job Description

The Western Cape Mobility Department, Western Cape Government, has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to provide administrative support services to the Sub-Directorate Strategic Support. The successful incumbent must be able to work under pressure, willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification; A minimum of 1 years relevant administrative support experience in a Strategic Management Support working environment.

Key Performance Areas
Render strategic planning and coordination of administrative support services; Coordinate monitoring and evaluation activities and maintain the relevant systems; Provide support to the Sub-Directorate for supply chain management activities; Render governance and compliance with regard to strategic planning legislative frameworks; Render supervisory functions.
Competencies
Knowledge of the following: Government strategic planning processes, practices and policies; Financial management, monitoring and reporting procedures and systems; General office administration and database management; Pocurement processes; Computer-based information systems.
Skills needed: Strategic Thinking and Planning; Analytical and Problem-solving; Project Management; Computer Literacy; Accounting, Finance and Audit; Economic and Statistical Analysis; Ability to interpret data and trends for strategic decision-making; Ability to conduct research and synthesise findings for reports and planning; Written and verbal communication; Organising; Planning; Ability to interpret data and trends for strategic decision-making; Ability to conduct research synthesise findings for reports and planning.
Remuneration
R 325 101 - R 382 959 per annum (Salary level 7)
Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to do a practical and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
