The university seeks to employ a skilled, knowledgeable and resourceful individual to provide general administrative support to its project management office. The project management office is focused on delivering a diverse range of infrastructure projects, across the university's multiple campuses. This position requires a combination of solid administrative skills, a good understanding of the project process, and a commitment to service delivery in a fast-paced environment. The post reports to the Manager: Projects.
Key responsibilities include:

  • General administrative support including creation of workflows and implementation of processes
  • Diary Administration
  • Financial Reporting
  • Documentation & Records Administration
  • Procurement support
  • Payment Administration
  • Project Reports Administration
Minimum Requirements
  • Relevant National Diploma (NQF 6)
  • 3-5 years project administrative experience
Knowledge, skills and capabilities
  • General administrative and organizational skills
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Financial and computer skills
  • Knowledge of procurement processes
  • Knowledge of payment systems and processes
  • Knowledge of Project Management processes
  • Knowledge of Smartsheet Management Software would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of the Higher Education environment would be an advantage
  • Experience in Infrastructure Projects would be an advantage
