Manage cash handling, banking, and float balances, ensuring safekeeping and accurate reconciliation.
Oversee administrative tasks including filing, report updates, transaction authorizations, and stock control.
Conduct spot checks on cashiers and manage lay-byes and RTS procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and security in the back office and cash desk area.
Ensure health & safety standards and prevent shrinkage.
Provide customer service, handle inquiries and complaints, and train staff.
Manage performance, attendance, and disciplinary actions of cash desk staff.
Minimum Requirements:
Matric Certificate
NQF 5 Certificate in Retail/Business Administration
Proficiency in Word and Excel
2-5 years relevant sales/cashier experience
Competencies:
Analytical Thinking, Financial Management, Customer Focus, Decision Making, Attention to Detail, Problem Solving, Planning & Organizing
Additional Requirements:
Criminal/Credit checks, qualification verification, assessments, First Aid/Firefighting training
